Olympus Geography

Following your call: the Year 12 A* Blueprint

You spoke with our team about where your child is heading into Year 12 A-Level Geography. Here's the full plan, in case it's useful to have it all in one place.

Kariesh started with Freya at GCSE, in Year 9, wanting to reach the top band of grades. That foundation carried straight through A-Level and into a place reading Geography at Cambridge.

“The lessons are very helpful and help me with harder topics and also revise other topics in a wide range of methods.” Kariesh, OCR

James got into Cardiff after a year of building the exam technique he was missing.

“I got into Cardiff!! Thank you so much for all the help you provided me with during my exams.” James, A-Level student

“Jemima's finding her group sessions really helpful and enjoying it... Jemima has just told me again how good your lessons are!” Sarah, AQA A-Level Group parent

What we cover on the call

  • Where a student's GCSE performance sits and what that suggests about the jump to A-Level standard
  • The specific habit shift most GCSE-strong students need to make. Content volume isn't the issue. The standard of answer is.
  • Why starting the foundation work in September, rather than discovering the gap at January mocks, changes the whole year

What's included: the Olympus Method

Step 1

Know It

A solid knowledge foundation across every exam board topic, including a precise, exam-ready case study bank.

Step 2

Show It

Turning knowledge into answers that earn marks through exam technique, not just content.

Step 3

Score It

Timed practice under real exam conditions, examiner-standard marking, monthly feedback, run from September to the final papers.

One live weekly class (recorded), under 10 students per cohort, monthly examiner-marked assessment with written feedback, support between lessons.

Is this still the right fit?

This is right if:

  • You left the call with a clear answer for what's likely to catch your child out at A-Level
  • Your child is willing to commit to the weekly class and their own work between sessions
  • You'd rather build the right habits from September than fix them after January mocks

This isn't right if:

  • You're still weighing this mainly on price
  • Your child isn't genuinely on board with this themselves
  • You want more time before deciding. See the deposit option below.

Our Grade Guarantee

Your child's first monthly assessment is marked by a real examiner, to the same standard used in the actual exam. This is often more rigorous than school grading, so it's normal for this first result to look different from their school-reported grade. That's not a decline. It's the true starting point we track progress against.

If your child attends at least 90% of live sessions, completes every monthly assessment and all course materials, but hasn't reached an A or A* standard in their assessments by Easter, they'll get a free place on our Easter Revision Course, at no extra cost, to help build the foundation before Year 13.

Two-Week Trial

If the first two weeks aren't the right fit for your child, let us know and we'll refund you in full, no questions asked.

Pricing

For context, good Geography tutors typically charge £50 to £100 an hour for 1-1. Even at the top of that range, a year of 1-1 tuition adds up to well beyond what the full Blueprint costs, and this includes examiner marking, monthly assessments and support most 1-1 tutors don't offer.

OptionCost
10 monthly instalments£250/month, or £2,500 across the year
Paid upfront£2,000, which is a genuine £500 saving. Klarna is available at checkout, split into 3 interest-free payments of £666.67
Termly£900 per term (3-month minimum)

This isn't the cheapest Geography support available. Most families who reach us have already tried something cheaper.
